Fighting sleep…

Still I could not figure out that whether sleep is my friend or enemy. Why because that I don’t feel like sleeping, while it should be needed and don’t feel like opening eyes from sleepy as well its’ a needed job. We know people sleeping during travels, reading, listening, at work desks even. I know, one of my friends used to kiss sleep even while washing cloths. Don’t know that still he does. Long live Mr. X.

Very late at nights, still I stay awake, as though I don’t know whats’ that activity. Feel very much reluctant to close my eyes. Some times, do think that the activity is the waste of time, since we live so short in this long life. Same reversal feelings when I wake up also. Why I should I wake up? I enjoy long stay at the bed. Should I disturb it? I love the moment, even though its’ a laziest thing. Wish to get up at a reasonable early time, while setting the timer. Switching off the timer, when it cries. Set the new time, say with half an hour gap, and repeat on-off till the neck reaches. Do I stop? Nah.. Now just reduce the time gap from half an hour to say five minutes and enjoy the sleep back. It keeps rolling for n times. It’s really a joyful ride. You can also try!! And finally I wake up, reluctantly.  

 

One thing, I understood that I am fighting sleep, either to win or to lose. Does everyone?

    hey man…nice post…i suffer from the same syndrome….why should we waste our time in sleeping…..we live only 70-80 years…there is so much to do…and to sleep 8-10 hrs a day…i pity those people who do this….for me, the more i sleep, the more sleepy i am the next day.
    as I once said,” Sleep as if it was a necessity, don’t make it your pleasure”…

    hmmm… nice try pa ..
    70 – 80 ..? I think , it Looks bit crazy nowadays .. :-)
    sleeep ….. Even I thought the same (less sleeping time) in previous days .. But the timing matters .. Getting up early morning makes us the day more interesting & trying some coffee / Jogging or atleast walking.. some sweaty stuff … You really feel the pleasure of that day as like u achieved some thing on that day .. !!! try it .. U like it ..

    But one thing, As i am in Europe, here we thought the winter (Boring Dark..dark..dark …) season will be making us more sleepy and fun when it was starting.. but actually, we are unable to get that deep sleep .. Donno why .. many times we didnt got that freshness of “aftersleep” … :-)

    abdul, yes.. rightly said that fresh morning is glorious, as it should be felt.. have experienced many a times and trying hard to bring back in a way.. thought so, taken some resolution(!) about it… hope, will keep it… -:) btw, the lesson is, sleep less and enjoy tight…

    sleeping more than 6-7 hrs is a waste of time..thinking tat i wake up
    early nd do yoga as Abdul said , bt i sleep in bus wen i travel 2 office nd from office 2 hme.. so wats de use…
    uhh… difficult….2 fight with it..
    s… shd nt waste more time n sleeping nd getting lazier… cos
